The simple Squeegee alternative

All your round. None of the per-user price creep.

Quickie is the dead-simple CRM for window cleaning and exterior-cleaning rounds — free for solo cleaners, one flat price for teams, and texts included in your plan. Here's an honest, side-by-side look at how it compares with Squeegee.

The honest verdict

Both are good tools. Pick for how you work.

Choose Quickie if you want…

  • Something your whole crew learns in an afternoon — not a manual to work through.
  • One flat price: a 3-person crew pays £29/month, not £19–£33 per user.
  • Texts (confirmations, night-before reminders, payment chasers) included in your plan — no per-text credits.
  • Tools that grow the round, not just run it: referrals with auto-applied rewards, win-back for lapsed customers, and a round-health view that pulls a drifting round back together.
  • A genuinely free start — the Solo plan is free forever, not a 30-day trial.

Squeegee may fit better if you need…

  • GoCardless Direct Debit charging on job completion today (it's next on Quickie's public roadmap; Quickie takes card payments via Stripe now).
  • HMRC-recognised VAT / Making Tax Digital submission from inside the app.
  • Built-in bookkeeping and expenses (on Quickie's roadmap).
  • Native App Store / Google Play apps — Quickie is an installable web app that works offline in the field.

Why people switch

Four things switchers tell us mattered most

Set up in an afternoon, not a weekend

Squeegee is powerful, and its reviewers say so — they also describe a steep learning curve and heavy setup. Quickie is deliberately simple: add customers, book the round, and the reminders, chasers and follow-ups run themselves.

One flat price your whole crew shares

Per-user pricing quietly punishes growth: add a second van and the bill doubles. Quickie Pro is £29/month with five seats included, so bringing on help never triggers a pricing decision.

Texts that don't nickel-and-dime you

The night-before text is the heart of a UK round — it shouldn't be a metered extra. On Quickie, texts come out of the same generous monthly allowance as emails. No credit top-ups, no surprise line items.

Documents you're proud to send

Quotes and invoices are clean, branded and customer-friendly, with one-tap accept and pay links — because a scruffy quote loses work no matter how good the cleaning is.

Switching is small

Move your round in an afternoon — and keep the safety net

Your round is your livelihood, so don't burn any bridges: the free plan means you can bring your customers across, run both tools side by side, and only commit when Quickie has earned it.

The four-step switch

1

Export your customers

Download your customer list from Squeegee as a CSV (or start from any spreadsheet).

2

Import into Quickie

Use the built-in CSV importer — map your columns once and your round, prices and notes come across.

3

Run both side by side

The Solo plan is free forever, so there's no meter running while you settle in and compare.

4

Point the round at Quickie

When it feels right, book next week's work in Quickie and let the confirmations, reminders and chasers take over.

FAQ

Quickie vs Squeegee — what switchers ask

Is Quickie really free?

Yes — the Solo plan is free forever for a single user with up to 50 active clients, no card required. Pro (£29/month flat, five seats) unlocks automation: texts and email reminders, payment chasers, route optimisation, the customer portal and reports.

Does Quickie support GoCardless Direct Debit like Squeegee?

Not yet — it's the next item on our public roadmap. Today Quickie takes card payments through Stripe pay-now links on invoices, records cash and bank-transfer payments, and chases outstanding balances automatically by email and SMS.

Can I import my round from Squeegee?

Yes. Export your customers from Squeegee as a CSV and use Quickie's import tool (Contacts → Import) to map the columns. Your customers, addresses, prices and notes come across in one pass — and the free plan means you can run both while you decide.

Do text messages cost extra?

No per-text surcharges. Every email and text counts as one message against your plan's monthly allowance — 1,000 on Pro, 5,000 on Business — so the night-before texts and payment chasers are simply part of the product.

Is there a mobile app?

Quickie installs to your phone's home screen as an app and is built mobile-first: the My Round day view works offline, queues job completions and photos when you lose signal, and syncs when you're back in coverage. Native App Store apps are on the roadmap.

Do I pay per user?

No. Quickie is priced per business, not per person: Solo is free for one user, Pro is £29/month including five team seats, and Business (£79/month) has unlimited seats.

Loved by the trade

Built with cleaners, for cleaners

Quickie is shaped by how window, gutter and pressure-washing rounds really run — here's what that feels like day to day.

I used to lose a couple of jobs a month to messages I forgot to reply to. The follow-up queue alone has paid for itself many times over.
Dan R.Window cleaning round, Leeds
Quoting from my phone and having it turn into a booked job when they say yes is the bit that sold me. No more lost paper quotes.
Marie O.Gutter & fascia cleaning, Bristol
The 'My round' view is exactly how I work — open the phone, see the day in postcode order, tap done. The lads picked it up in five minutes.
