Dashboard & Analytics

Your business at a glance: how close you are to your revenue goal, what you've billed, where clients come from, who to chase today, and what's just happened.

What it does

The Dashboard is the first screen you see after signing in. It pulls your real data into one place — a revenue-goal tracker with a pace marker, money totals and a forecast, six headline stat cards, three charts, plus three live cards: follow-ups due today, draft invoices waiting to be sent, and a recent-activity feed.

Where to find it

Header → Dashboard (or click the Quickie logo), at /dashboard.

Step by step

Check progress against your revenue goal

  1. Look at the Revenue goal card at the top.
  2. The subtitle reads "£X of £Y this year" — money in so far versus your target.
  3. The progress bar fills towards your goal. The thin vertical line on the bar is the "Expected by now" marker — where you'd be if income were spread evenly across the year.
  4. Below the bar you'll see "X% of goal" and either "£… ahead of pace" (green) or "£… behind pace" (red), comparing your actual income to that marker.
  5. The big number — "≈ N more clients needed" — estimates how many average clients it would take to hit your target, with "£… to go" showing the remaining revenue.
  6. The small line at the bottom projects your year-end total at your current run-rate, next to your target and your average value per client/year.

See what you've billed and what's owed

  1. The Money card shows four totals: Invoiced, Paid, Outstanding, and Overdue (the overdue figure turns red, and shows a count, e.g. Overdue (3), when anything is past due).
  2. Underneath, Expected income ahead sums what's coming, broken down as overdue · due this week · projected recurring.

Read the headline stats

The row of six stat cards shows live counts: Active clients, Leads, Requests, Total contacts, Follow-ups due, and Open tasks. Follow-ups due gets a warning tint when there's anything to chase.

Explore the charts

  1. Client growth — total clients over the last 12 months (a filled area line).
  2. Lead sources — horizontal bars per source, comparing Total contacts with how many became Clients.
  3. Pipeline status — a bar chart of how many contacts sit at each pipeline stage.

Hover (or tap on mobile) any chart point or bar to see the exact figure.

Act on "Follow up today"

  1. The Follow up today card lists people whose follow-up is due now or overdue, with a count badge.
  2. Each row shows the contact's name (click to open them), their source, and whether they're Due or Overdue on that date.
  3. A Re-book badge flags recurring clients ready to book again.
  4. Click View all follow-ups to see the full list.
  5. When there's nobody to chase, the card says "You're all caught up 🎉".

Send your draft invoices

  1. The Draft invoices card appears only when you have drafts (for example, ones created automatically from completed recurring jobs).
  2. It shows "N drafts waiting to be sent" with each client, title, date and amount.
  3. Click a client's name to open them, or View all to go to Invoices and send them.

Catch up on recent activity

The Recent activity feed merges your latest interactions, completed jobs and new contacts into one time-ordered list. Each row links to the related contact; completed jobs also show the amount.

What each screen shows

  • Revenue goal — progress bar with the "Expected by now" marker, % of goal, ahead/behind pace, clients-needed estimate, remaining revenue, and a year-end projection.
  • Money — Invoiced / Paid / Outstanding / Overdue, plus the "Expected income ahead" forecast line.
  • Stat cards — Active clients, Leads, Requests, Total contacts, Follow-ups due, Open tasks.
  • Charts — Client growth (area), Lead sources (bars), Pipeline status (bars).
  • Follow up today — due/overdue contacts with re-book flags.
  • Draft invoices — unsent drafts (hidden when there are none).
  • Recent activity — interactions, completed jobs and new contacts.

Tips & good to know

  • Revenue counts cash collected: actual payments received this year, plus the price of any completed jobs that were never invoiced. It is not the same as what you've invoiced.
  • The clients-needed figure uses your average client value (set in Settings) — keep that realistic for a useful estimate.
  • Ahead/behind pace compares your income to an even spread across the year, so expect to look "behind" early in a seasonal year.
  • The charts and cards all read live data — there's nothing to refresh manually; reload the page to update.
  • Charts and the whole dashboard adapt to light and dark mode automatically.
  • Empty charts show a gentle note like "No contacts yet" rather than a blank box.

Troubleshooting

  • Everything shows zero / charts say "No contacts yet". Your CRM is empty — work through the Get started checklist to add your first contact, job and invoice.
  • The Draft invoices card isn't there. It only appears when you actually have draft invoices.
  • My revenue looks lower than expected. Only collected payments (plus un-invoiced completed jobs) count. Unpaid invoices show under Outstanding, not in the revenue figure.
  • The goal or "per client" number looks wrong. The revenue goal and average client value come from Settings — update them there.
  • I'm behind pace but it's January. That's normal early in the year; the pace marker expects income spread evenly, while real income is lumpy.
