What it does
The Team section lets an owner build out the organisation:
- Invite a teammate by email and pick their role (Member or Owner).
- New people join automatically the first time they sign in with that email — no codes to copy or links to chase.
- See and revoke invitations that are still pending.
- Change a member's role or remove them, with a built-in guard so you can never lock yourself out by removing the last owner.
Members (non-owners) can see the team list but can't invite, change roles or remove anyone.
Where to find it
- Click your avatar (top-right) and choose Settings.
- Scroll to the Team card.
URL: /dashboard/settings
Roles at a glance
- Owner — full control, including team management, the audit log, automation and all organisation settings.
- Member — day-to-day access to clients, schedule and money, but not the owner-only admin features.
Step by step
Invite a teammate (owner only)
- In the Team card, find Invite a teammate at the bottom.
- Type their email address (e.g.
teammate@business.com). - Choose a role — Member (the default) or Owner.
- Click Invite.
- You'll see "Invitation sent", with a note that "They'll join your team when they first sign in with that email."
The new invite appears under Pending invitations.
What happens when they sign in
Your teammate just signs in to Quickie using the same email you invited. On their first sign-in they're automatically added to your organisation with the role you chose. There's nothing for them (or you) to accept manually — the pending invite becomes a full member.
Revoke a pending invite (owner only)
Changed your mind before they've joined?
- Under Pending invitations, find the email.
- Click Revoke beside it.
- You'll see "Invitation revoked" and the entry disappears. That email can no longer auto-join (you can always re-invite later).
Change a member's role (owner only)
- In the Members list, find the person.
- Use the role dropdown next to their name and pick Member or Owner.
- The change saves immediately and you'll see a confirmation, e.g. "Jordan is now an owner".
Remove a member (owner only)
- In the Members list, click the bin icon beside the person you want to remove. (You won't see a bin next to your own name — you can't remove yourself here.)
- A Remove from team dialog appears, confirming who you're removing and warning "They'll lose access immediately. You can re-invite them later."
- Click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to back out.
- On success you'll see "…removed from the team."
The "last owner" guard
Quickie won't let the organisation end up with no owner. If you try to remove the only owner, or demote the last owner to Member, the action is blocked and you'll see an error message. Promote someone else to Owner first, then make your change.
What each screen shows
Team card header — a short description that changes by role: owners see "Invite teammates by email…"; members see "People with access to this organisation."
Members (N) — every current member with their name ("(you)" beside yourself) and email. Owners see a role dropdown and a remove (bin) button per person; members see a read-only role badge instead.
Pending invitations (N) — shown only when invites are outstanding. Each row lists the email, the role, and when it was invited. Owners get a Revoke button.
Invite a teammate (owners only) — an email field, a role selector, and an Invite button.
Tips & good to know
- The invite is tied to the exact email you enter — make sure it matches the one they'll sign in with.
- Pending invitations only appear while there's at least one outstanding; the section hides itself when there are none.
- Revoking and removing are reversible in the sense that you can always re-invite the person afterwards.
- Promote a trusted teammate to Owner before you go on holiday so admin tasks (and the last-owner guard) are never a blocker.
Troubleshooting
- The Invite form / role dropdowns aren't there. You're signed in as a Member. Only owners can invite, change roles or remove people. Ask an owner to make the change.
- "Invitation sent" but they're not in the team. They haven't signed in yet. They appear under Members only after their first sign-in with the invited email.
- A removal or demotion was blocked. You're likely trying to remove or demote the last owner. Promote another member to Owner first.
- They signed in but didn't join. Check the email on the invite matches the one they actually used to sign in.
