What it does
Two related things help you keep track of the little details that matter on the round:
- Sticky labels — small, colour-coded tags you create once (e.g. Ladder needed, Side gate code, Dog in garden) and then attach to a customer or to a single job. A customer's labels follow them onto every visit in your day's round.
- Notes — every job has its own note you can add or edit, separate from the customer's standing note. Both are shown on the day card so you (or whoever is working) sees them at the door.
Labels and notes are available on every plan, free.
Where to find it
- Create & manage labels: Header → avatar menu → Settings → Sticky labels card (
/dashboard/settings). - Attach labels to a customer: open a contact (Clients → Contacts → a name) → Details card → Labels row.
- Attach labels / a note to a job: Add job or Edit a job (the Labels and Notes fields in the dialog).
- See them on the day: Schedule → My round (
/dashboard/today) — each job card shows the customer note, the job note and any labels.
Step by step
Create a label
- Go to Settings → Sticky labels.
- Type a short name (up to 40 characters), e.g. Ladder needed.
- Pick a colour swatch.
- Click Add label. It appears in the list below, marked Unused until you attach it.
Edit or delete a label
- Click the pencil next to a label to rename or recolour it everywhere it's used.
- Click the bin to delete it (owner-only). The label is removed from all clients and jobs; their other data is untouched.
Attach labels to a customer
- Open the customer's page.
- In the Details card, find the Labels row and click Add label (or Edit labels).
- Tick the labels that apply, or type a new name and choose Create "…" to make one on the spot.
- Changes save immediately. The labels show as chips at the top of the customer's page — and on every job for that customer in your round.
Add a note (or label) to a single job
- Click Add job (or Edit an existing job).
- Use Notes for anything specific to that visit (e.g. use the back ladder, knock first).
- Use Labels to tag just that job.
- Save.
Add or edit a job note on the day
On My round, each job card has a Job note panel:
- Tap Add note / Edit, type the note, then Save — it's stored against that job straight away.
What each screen shows
- Settings → Sticky labels: a create box (name + colour), then a list of your labels with a usage count (how many clients and jobs use each) and edit/delete actions.
- Contact detail → Labels row: the customer's current labels as chips, plus the Add/Edit labels picker.
- Job dialog: a Labels picker and a Notes box.
- My round card: the customer's standing Customer note (read-only), an editable Job note, and a row of label chips combining the customer's labels and that job's own labels.
Tips & good to know
- A customer label is the right choice for things that are always true (always needs a ladder); a job label or job note suits a one-off (this visit only, gate's being painted).
- Labels are shared across your business — create Ladder needed once and everyone can use it.
- Colours are there to be spotted fast — use a bold colour (amber/red) for things that affect safety or access.
- Label names are unique within your business, so you won't end up with two Ladder needed tags.
Troubleshooting
- "A label with that name already exists" — you (or a teammate) already created it; pick it from the list instead.
- Can't delete a label? Only an owner can delete labels. Members can still create, rename, recolour and attach them.
- Don't see a label you expect on the round card? Check it's attached to the customer (or that specific job) — labels only show for the visits they're attached to.
