What it does
Settings is split into a left-hand tab navigation, with each tab covering one area:
- Account & security — how you sign in: email, password, passkeys and connected accounts. Personal to you.
- Business & targets — your organisation name and the revenue goal + average client value that drive the dashboard's "clients needed" tracker. Owner-only to edit.
- Team & organisation — invite and manage teammates, plus your sticky labels. Owner-only to edit.
- Jobs & scheduling — default job durations, working day & capacity, and map-coordinate backfill, used by the Route planner. Owner-only.
- Communications — the org-wide customer emails and automation switches (daily digest, auto-invoicing, monthly report, booking confirmations, late nudges, review requests, public booking form). Owner-only to edit.
- Notifications — your personal daily-digest opt-in and which alert types show in your bell. Anyone can edit their own.
- Billing & plan — your plan, message usage and Stripe billing. See the Billing guide.
- Automation health — status of the scheduled background jobs, with a Run now button. Owner-only (only owners see this tab).
Pick a tab on the left and only that section shows — no more scrolling one long page. This guide covers the Business & targets, Jobs & scheduling and Communications tabs; Account & security, Team, Notifications, Billing and Automation each have their own guide (linked below).
Where to find it
Click your avatar (top-right) and choose Settings, then pick a tab on the left.
URL: /dashboard/settings — you can also deep-link to a tab, e.g. /dashboard/settings?tab=billing. The tab you're on is remembered in the address bar, so links and the back button take you to the right place.
Step by step
Edit your business name and targets (owner only)
In the Business & targets card:
- Business name — your organisation's name.
- Annual revenue goal (£) — what you're aiming to turn over this year (e.g. 100000).
- Avg. client value / year (£) — what a typical client is worth to you over a year (e.g. 360).
- Click Save settings.
The card header does the maths live as you type: "At £360 per client a year, hitting £100,000 needs about 278 clients." That clients-needed figure (revenue goal ÷ average client value, rounded up) is what powers the goal tracker on your dashboard — so keep these two numbers realistic.
If you're a Member, these fields are greyed out and you'll see "Only an owner can change these settings."
Set the organisation email switches (owner only)
Open the Communications tab. Its tick-boxes control org-wide customer emails and automation:
- Daily follow-up digest email — emails opted-in teammates each morning with the contacts due a follow-up. Ticking this reveals a Send digest at (UTC) dropdown (00:00–23:00) so you can pick the hour; the scheduler runs hourly and sends at that hour.
- Auto-invoice recurring clients — when you complete a job for a recurring client, Quickie automatically creates a draft invoice from it.
- Monthly report email — emails opted-in teammates a summary of last month's revenue, clients and jobs.
- Booking confirmations & reminders — emails the customer a confirmation when you book a job, and a reminder the day before (only when the contact has an email).
- Review requests after a job — after a job completes, emails the customer a request to review you, on a short delay. Ticking this reveals a Review link (your Google/Trustpilot review page) and a Delay (hours) field. See the Customer Comms guide.
- Public "request a clean" form — turns on a shareable booking page where new customers can request a clean (each lands as a lead). Ticking this reveals your shareable booking link to copy. See the Customer Portal & Booking guide.
Tick or untick as needed, then Save settings. (The Communications tab saves on its own, so changing a switch here never disturbs your Business & targets numbers, and vice-versa.)
Note the difference between org-level and personal digest settings. The owner switch in Communications turns the daily digest on for the organisation; each teammate then chooses whether they receive it in the Notifications tab. A teammate only gets the email if both are on.
Choose your own notification preferences (anyone)
The Notifications tab is personal to you and saves the moment you click:
- Daily follow-up digest — tick to receive the morning follow-up email (only sent when your organisation has the digest enabled). You'll see a confirmation either way.
- In-app alerts — untick any of Payment received, Quote accepted, Invoice overdue or Marked paid by client to hide that type from your notification bell.
These choices affect only you — every teammate sets their own.
What each screen shows

- An upgrade prompt if your plan doesn't include automations.
Notifications tab (per-user):
- Daily follow-up digest tick-box.

Account & security, Team & organisation, Jobs & scheduling, Billing & plan and Automation health — covered in their own guides.
Tips & good to know
- The revenue goal and average client value are the only two numbers behind the dashboard goal tracker — update them whenever your pricing or ambitions change.
- The digest hour is in UTC. During British Summer Time (BST) the email lands one hour later than the number suggests.
- Auto-invoice creates draft invoices, not sent ones — you stay in control of when they go out.
- Org email switches affect everyone; your bell and personal digest opt-in affect only you.
Troubleshooting
- The Business & targets fields are greyed out. You're a Member — only owners can edit organisation settings.
- I don't see the Automation health tab. It's owner-only; members don't see it.
- I can't find the email switches. They moved to the Communications tab (they used to sit under Business & targets).
- My dashboard's "clients needed" looks wrong. Re-check the revenue goal and avg. client value — the figure is goal ÷ average value, rounded up.
- I ticked the daily digest but get no email. Your organisation also needs the digest enabled by an owner in the Communications tab. Both switches must be on.
- A change didn't stick. If you saw an error toast, try Save settings again; the personal notification card saves automatically and shows a confirmation when it succeeds.
